Zoot's
main songwriter and guitarist was Rick Springfield, who later moved
to the US, had some pop hits and became well known as a TV soaps
actor. And the bass player, Beeb Birtles (his real name is Gerard
Bertelkamp and he was born in Amsterdam, moving with his family to
Australia when he was 11), went on to start Little River River Band.
