The Big Al & Sandy Show, an award-winning show, is hosted by Big Al Weekley, a three-time IBMA nominee, and co hosted by his wife Sandy Shortridge Weekley who joins him when her work and performance schedule permits. This program has something for everyone as it presents bluegrass, country, gospel and Appalachian music and anything in-between. The show offers very informative interviews with artists who write and record the music. During interviews artists discuss the reason songs have been written including events which inspired the songs while often sharing interesting and entertaining details of their life. Listeners not only find the show fun and educational but are drawn in and included as part of the music. Big Al has been broadcasting or in your ear for over 37 years. His syndicated show can be heard on many stations in the United States and internationally in Germany and the UK. His contributions to preserving the history of Bluegrass, Gospel, and Country music have earned him numerous accolades. He received the Old Time Country and Bluegrass Music Preservation Award in 2013 and was inducted into the Nebraska Country Music Hall of Fame the same year. He also received the Presidents Award from the Nebraska Country Music Association.
