As promised last week, I have for you the second of the three songs on superstar saxophonist Gerald Albright’s brand new album G-Stream 2-Turn It Up. I am not certain how Albright could turn it up any more since his last mini album G-Steam of only three songs charted three Billboard number ones. Yet it is really top notch music and if I was a betting man I would not bet against a future of three more number ones from this album.  From G-Steam 2, I have the sax of Gerald Albright with Eddie’s Groove.

Guitarist Paul Jackson Jr.  is an artist that has played everywhere including on Michael Jackson’s Thriller album, with Whitney Houston, Elton John, George Benson, David Benoit, Al Jarreau, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and on American Idol, just to name a few of his accomplishments. April 15th he released a brand new mini album of five songs titled Stompin’ Willie Presents More Stories Part 1. That part 1 tells me that later there will be more great music to look forward to. From that album I have the guitar of Paul Jackson Jr. with Love Like This with a vocal by Linsey Jackson and the keys of Jeff Lorber. Lorber has been very busy lately and we have found him  playing the piano on numerous artist’s new releases in addition to his role as a producer.

Saxophonist Jessy J released a new album titled Blue on April 15th.  Her recording career began after producer/guitarist Paul Brown listened to her demo and gave her a spot on his tour. She soon began making solo appearances. Her first major solo performance was at the Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival in 2006. Soon afterward, she and Paul Brown were in the studio recording her first album released in 2008. She is best known for her tunes Tequila Moon and Tropical Rain. In her career she has worked in studio with Michael Buble and toured with The Temptations, Jessica Simpson, Michael Bolton and Seal. She’s recorded or toured as well with Taylor Swift, Anita Baker, and others.  She has performed on “American Idol,” “The Voice,” and  “Dancing with the Stars.” Jessy J has signed to perform at this years Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival. I have the sax of Jessy J  from her album Blue with Song For David once again featuring on the keys, her album producer, Smooth Jazz pioneer Jeff Lorber.

Thank you for your continuing support of KKRN and of this program.
