Happy New Year.
At the beginning of the year, I always find it fun to have a look back at the past year. Such will be the case for this show. I love to have a chance to hear, once again, the great new music from smooth jazz’s past year. I will play all of Billboard’s number one songs in 2019 from this format in order. I have more good news. In order to fit them all in, I must greatly reduce my talk time. I urge you to check out our archives for last year’s shows for additional information on these songs or artists. Also feel free to contact me at smoothside@kkrn.org. I love hearing from you.
At the end of the program, I will name In my humble opinion my selection for album of the year for 2019 and I will name and play my selection for the Smooth Side Of Jazz song of the year.
Be sure to tune in next week. I have a great story that includes a sports figure, a young radio disc jockey, and a question that changed radio music for decades. Please don’t miss that program.
Thank you for your continuing support of this program and KKRN.
