Hedges is a Senior Fellow at The Nation Institute; he spent nearly two decades as a foreign correspondent, ending his Pulitzer Prize-winning career after fifteen years at the New York Times. He is the author of the bestsellers War is a Force That Gives Us Meaning, American Fascists, Empire of Illusion, Death of the Liberal Class, The World As It Is: Dispatches on the Myth of Human Progress and Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt.  He currently writes for numerous publications, including Harper’s, the New York Review of Books, Granta, and Mother Jones.
