Beds Are Burning - Midnight Oil, in concert in Sydney, from their album Armistice Day, Live at the Domain, recorded in 2017 and released in 2018. The song first appeared as the first track of their sixth album, Diesel and Dust, which came out in 1987.
Treaty - Yothu Yindi, the first single from their second album, Tribal Voice, released in 1991. Writing Treaty was a group effort involving Yothu Yindi members Mandawuy Yunupingu, Stuart Kellaway, Gurrumul Yunupingu and others, along with Paul Kelly and Midnight Oil singer Peter Garrett. After a disappointing initial release, the song was was remixed by the Melbourne-based Filthy Lucre production group and became the first song by a mainly Aboriginal band to chart in Australia. This version is that remix, from the band's 2012 greatest hits album Healing Stone.
I Believe - Hunters and Collectors, covering Ray Charles on their 1984 album Jaws of Life. Ray released the song I Believe To My Soul in 1959 as the B-side of his single I’m Movin’ On.

- Buster Brown - Buster Brown, one of Angry Anderson's first bands, doing a song titled Buster Brown, from their 1974 album Something To Say.
- Bad Boy For Love - Rose Tattoo, the band he took to international acclaim, from their debut LP, which was released in 1978, although the single came out in 1977. Produced by Harry Vanda and George Young in Albert Studios in Sydney. The song was written by the band's bass player Ian Rilen.
- Scarred For Life - Rose Tattoo, the titled track of their their 1982 album.

Hands - the Silversound, a single from an album promised for November and reportedly titled The Brightness Will Come.
Still Fishin' - Tex Perkins and Matt Walker from their album Before the Show, an August release.
I Wanna Live - Joeys Coop, it came out in July on an album titled Sawdust Memories, a project led by Brett Myers, the former guitarist-songwriter from the band Died Pretty.
Nothing Better - Lava Fangs, released in September as a double-A side, split 7-inch vinyl EP with label-mate Benny J Ward.
Footy songs
Aussies love their sports, especially footy, Australian Rules Football. They love it so much they write songs about it. The 2026 footy season just finished, so here' are some footy songs to help get us through until next year.
- Red Hot Go - Greg Champion and the Coodabeen Champions, in concert in 1991.
- Up There Cazaly - Mike Brady. The player in the song's title is Roy Cazaly, who started his footy career in 1911. Footy fans have been singing along to the song since 1979.
- In a 1970s TV ad campaign Australian car maker Holden listed things Australians love, including meat pies, kangaroos and football.
- That's What I Like About Football - Greg Champion, from 1994, possibly the greatest footy anthem. Musician Greg Champion was part of a radio program called the Coodabeen Champions, on the air from 1961 to 2024.

I Want You Back - Hoodoo Gurus, from 1984, a single from their debut album Stoneage Romeos.
