Peter Allen was born in Australia in 1944 and went on to international acclaim as a songwriter and performer. In 1980 he wrote I Still Call Australia Home, although he lived most of his adult life in the US, which led to the parody song I Still Call Australia By Phone, because Aussies are expert at parody.
It's pop
I'll Be There - the Gnomes - that's gnomes, as in the little folk who live English gardens. The song is on their album titled Introducing the Gnomes, a 2025 release.
Who Needs Who Now - the Crystal Set, the B-side of a 1987 single. The A-side was the title track of their debut album. The lead singer and bass player in the band was Russell Kilbey, whose big brother Steve Kilbey produced the album. Steve Kilbey is better known as lead singer and bass player in the Chruch.
Fever Dream - Bagful of Beez, a single that came out in April. The band is run by Link Meanie - aka Link McLennan - he's been around for awhile with his other band the Meanies.
Tenterfield Saddler - Peter Allen (born Peter Richard Woolnough) singing about growing up in a small town in rural New South Wales. He released the song in 1972 as the title track to his second album. This version from a 1996 compilation At His Best.

Not really Vault material, seeing as how it was recorded in 1980, released in Australia in 1981 and everywhere else in 1982, but we were talking about Steve Kilbey so, from their debut album, Of Skins And Heart, here are three singles off the album by the Church:

Friday's Blue Cheer - Ed Kuepper, a founding member of the mighty Saints, from his 1991 album Honey Steel's Gold.
By Water - Hedge Burners, it's on their album, Fall Out of the Future, which arrived in March. As for the band's name, vandals setting fire to people's garden hedges was a thing in Melbourne in the early 1990s.
Somewhere in there we heard a little humor from a beloved Aussie TV show called Hey Hey It's Saturday, which started out as a Saturday morning kids' show and became a cult-like comedy/music show for adults on Saturday nights.
Night Comes In - two of Australia's most in demand session guitarists, Joel Silbersher (Fancy Weapon, Hoss, God, Tex Perkins, much more) and Charlie Owen (New Christs, Beasts Of Bourbon, Tex, Don & Charlie, etc), from an album titled Tendrils, something they did in 1995, and which had the vinyl reissue treatment in 2018. The song was written by the renowned English musicians Richard and Linda Thompson, they did it on their 1975 album Pour Down Like Silver.
