Bending the Arc: Mary Williams

Share Tweet Email

In this episode, we speak with Mary Williams, former Deputy CEO and interim CEO for Shasta County.  We speak about public service, her statement before the Board of Supervisors speaking to the need for attention to discrimination, harassment, and abusive conduct affecting work environments at the county.

The issue of harassment and bullyings has been addressed on this show before given the impact it has had on various county offices (e.g., the Registrar of Voters), nonprofits, journalists and media representatives, and the chilling effect it can have on engagement in public meetings by those uncomfortable with the current contentious environment.

In speaking of her background, Mary shares that she is committed to public service in her community through thoughtful administration of public programs and policy, as well as political and civic engagement. She has a Master's degree in Public Administration and ten years of experience in local government and nonprofit management. She and her husband have two young sons.  You can connect with her on Linked In.
