    My guest this Thursday, Nov. 24th is author and filmmaker Myra Buteau. We’ll be talking about her book, Kennett- The Town Under Shasta Lake.
    In the book, Myra uses a rich selection of archival photos that take us back in time. The settlement of Backbone, later re-named Kennett, was at one time a bustling town full of colorful characters. Today, it lies silent under roughly 400 feet of water, not far from Shasta Dam. It’s the story of a town whose prosperity and fate were closely bound to a single product of fluctuating value: Copper
