Guy McPherson

Guy McPherson, professor emeritus of natural resources and the environment at the University of Arizona, where he taught and conducted research for twenty award-winning years. His scholarly work, which has for many years focused on conservation of biological diversity, has produced fourteen Books and hundreds of articles.  His books include Extinction Dialogs, Going Dark and Walking Away from Empire: A Personal JourneyWe take close look at the very possible extinction of the homo sapien species (that's us!) in the near future.  How will you cope?  His blog is at Nature Bats Last, lots of valuable information.

Another great interview with Guy McPherson from what looks like another good indi' radio station. It's interesting how mainstream our extinction event is becoming and the number of people willing to discuss the ramifications of our predicament.
Guy is always asked how much time we have and obviously that is the 64 gazillion dollar question.
This planet has had a temperature spike of 5C in 13 years once before and this would be un-survivable. I suggest people brace for impact. Mimi German will be pleased that you brought up the nuclear component of this disaster and I'm pleased Global dimming was mentioned as I believe many people are unaware of this element.
