November 5, 2016:  Intermountain Classics features music recently performed at North State Symphony’s November 2016 concerts in both Redding and Chico. The concerts featured John Hagstrom, trumpet, in the Trumpet Concerto by Johann Hummel, Rossinis’ overture from the comic opera ‘The Barber of Seville’, Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 in A major, the “Italian” and a new work by contemporary composer Michael Daugherty called “Strut”.  During the second hour of the show, you will hear some real scary and spooky music perfect for any Halloween celebration!
