Community Works Radio: Mind-Body Medicine coming to Shasta County

Share Tweet Email

On this edition of Community Works Radio, host Ellen Sugg interviews Amy Cavalleri about the Mind-Body-Medicine Community Resilience Program which is coming to Shasta and four other North State counties to train facilitators who, in turn, will help our communites build resilience and strength after the trauma of the Carr and Camp Fires in our area during 2018. Amy Cavalleri is a project coordinator of the program. She is a trained facilitator and has already led groups with using the Mind-Body Medicine model of self-care. This is a collaborative effort of the Shasta County Health Assessment and Redesign Collaborative and the Emotional/Spiritual Care Committee of the Community Recovery Team.

The training of facilitators will be taking place in October and January, four days each session. The deadline to submit an application is September 1.
