Share Tweet Email

In this episode, we speak with Brittany Stonesifer, an attorney for the ACLU of Norther California's Democracy and Civic Engagement team.  Brittany has been deeply involved in the Dominion controversy here in Shasta County and speaks about the implications of requiring hand counting of ballots. She speaks about legislation, AB 969, to prohibit hand counting for elections with more than 1000 registered voters.   That bill is now awaiting the governor's signature.

In the second half of the episode, we speak with Cathy Darling Allen Shasta County's County Clerk and Registrar of Voters about the costs and implications of the changes that have been made as well as potential consequences of the governor signing/not signing AB 969.
