OM 34: Emma Richardson and Daniel Hill on Creativity, Collaboration, and Community

Share Tweet Email

In this episode, I speak with local creatives Emma Richardson and Daniel Hill.  Both are involved in multiple arts organizations and creative efforts.  Perhaps most recently, they launched their own band, the Yipz. Our conversation centers on their creative process and addresses collaboration, the importance of community, how to connect with inspiration, when to say yes/no to a new opportunity, and how engaging in multiple forms of artistic expressions has shaped them.

Presence, mindfulness, and connection are at the center of many of their practices,

Emma is a local actor, director, poet and musician. You might have seen her around in Axiom Repertory Theatre’s productions. She has a huge passion for art and creativity and encouraging those skills in others.

Daniel is a local musician, actor, director, lighting/sound technician and arts facilitator. Daniel studied Environmental Science at UC Berkeley, and currently works for two arts nonprofits in Redding, CA: The Shasta County Arts Council and Axiom Repertory Theatre.
