In 2023 some Aussies got together and put out an album titled Halfway Down Under: A Tribute to Jim Lauderdale, in recognition of the work of American singer songwriter Jim Lauderdale, who made Australia his second home.

Keith Urban, born in New Zealand, raised in Queensland Australia, one of the most successful artists anywhere in country music today. We heard three tracks from his first album, titled simply Keith Urban, recorded and released in Australia in 1991, elsewhere in 2005.
