    In 1979, three young men set out to hike from the Continental Divide in Glacier National Park to the Pacific Ocean.  At the time there was no established trail for the roughly 1,200 mile meandering route that would traverse much of the Rockies and Cascades. Doug Mandel and his brother Chris completed the journey in two months. Doug was only 19 years old and this is his story.
