The temperature is over 100F today, again - 40C-plus - good weather for staying inside and listening to some tunes.

Intro: Roulette - Dom Mariani and the Majestic Kelp, Underwater Casino, 2003. Dom Mariani has been making fine music for many years in several bands, most notably with The Stems.

Hungry Town - Big Pig, released as a single in 1986. It was also on the band’s debut LP, Bonk, which was recorded in 1987 and released in 1988. This version from a 2018 compilation Crate Diggers: Pop.

Somebody That I Used To Know - Belgium-born Gotye, pronounced Go Tee Ay (real name Wouter “Wally” de Backer, and featuring New Zealand singer Kimbra. This was a 2011 single.

Garden of Frenzied Cortinas - Ariel, from their 1973 album A Strange Fantastic Dream. Features Bill Putt, Mike Rudd and Tim Gaze, all veterans of several excellent bands.

Travelling South - Carson, a 1971 single, with Broderick Smith, an incredibly prolific musician, singing. His son Ambrose Kenny-Smith is a member of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and his own band the Murlocs.

Love Is the Law - Sons of the Vegetal Matter, a 1970 single. The band featured Ross Wilson and Ross Hannaford, whose next band was Daddy Cool.
