On July 15th a fantastic new album that we have been playing for you for several weeks, was released from record producer turned performing guitarist Paul Brown.  As a producer Paul Brown was part of over 50 number ones for other Smooth Jazz Artists. Since becoming a performer he has now charted ten number ones. His new album is titled Promised Land. As with his previous albums, this album includes songs that feature some of the many artists he has worked with over his career. Billboard’s new number one song in Smooth Jazz is the guitar of Paul Brown and the swinging horns of Greg Vail and Ron King with Secret Sauce.

Starting up the music for this show is the September 9th release of a single that is a terrific collaboration. It is from  L. A. based, bass guitar player Roberto Vally. He has played as a sideman with an endless number of Jazz, Smooth Jazz, and R & B artists. He began releasing terrific albums in 2013. Valley’s new release combines his bass with the terrific sax of young new Smooth Jazz star Jeff Ryan and the keys of Leon Bisquera on their song Just Say Yes.

English singer and songwriter Adele has added an Emmy Award to her stellar career. The singer’s recent award is for her last year CBS concert special Adele, One Night Only. Previously she has won fifteen Grammy’s and an Oscar. All she needs is a Tony Award to reach the rare status of a win in each of the four American entertainment awards. For our closing song this week let’s hear her wonderful song that won both a Grammy and Oscar that Adele co-wrote and performed for the James Bond movie Skyfall.

Thank you for your continuing support of KKRN and of this program.
