"Let's Roll" with guitarist Richard Smith, a song he wrote about his attitude about 4 hour infusions for 45 straight days that saved his life from cancer

Last March 2020, Smooth Jazz guitarist Richard Smith was in a battle for his life. The doctors and nurses administered  experimental infusions that he hoped would strangle the stage 3 cancer gripping his throat. Every day they asked him if he was ready for the four-hour process that he went through for 45 consecutive days . His daily response to their inquiries was his affirmative answer “Let’s roll.” A year later on March 18th, now cancer free, Smith dropped his first US single in five years named after his experience titled Let’s Roll. He wrote this song with Billboard chart-topping guitarist Adam Hawley, who produced the uplifting track. Featured is saxophonist-flutist Jeff Kashiwa. “Let’s Roll” previews Smith’s forthcoming 13th album, “Language of the Soul,” which he plans to have out in the Fall. It’s possible that Smith’s cancer experiences may inspire more music that will appear on “Language of the Soul.”

About this song Richard Smith says “A typical thing that cancer survivors say is that no one understands except the people who have been through it." Keeping in step with the positive way he handled his life and cancer threat,  Let’s Roll.
