January 9, 2016: Exciting chamber music concerts are coming up right here in the Redding and Shasta County area. Tonight Intermountain Classics features music from several of these concerts, including the well known Archduke Trio by Beethoven, piano music by north state pianist Chiharu Sai, a beautiful violin piece by guest soloist Patrick Dalton-Holmes and Milhaud’s La Creation du Monde, The Creation of the World, featuring North State Symphony conductor Scott Seaton as conductor and saxophone soloist. The second hour will highlight works by contemporary American composers, with a new recording of John Adams’ Become Ocean and Dessner’s St. Carolyn By the Sea.
